 | Ms Elizabeth Grobbelaar (Beth)
Position: Researcher Research focus: Entomology, but mainly beetles, specialising on the Chrysomeloidea (Cerambycidae, Chrysomelidae and Bruchinae). Current research includes international collaborative work on Chrysomelidae (Leaf Beetles), amongst others, the subfamilies Bruchinae and Donaciinae. Also 'Acting Manager' of the 'Entomology Diagnostic Service', which offers expertise on a wide range of entomological enquiries from the southern African Region, and supports the ARC-PHP: Weeds Division with identifications and information on biological control agents. | Mr Michael Stiller
Position: Researcher Research focus: Taxonomy of leafhoppers, mainly in the Deltocephalinae, with identification of any planthopper, cicada, tree hopper and spittle bug. Where possible, true bugs in Pentatomidae, Lygaeidae, Coreidae, Scutelleridae etc. are identified. Routine identification of thrips is provided. E-mail: StillerM@arc.agric.za Tel: +27 12 808 8277 |

 | Mr Riaan Stals
Position: Researcher Research focus: Insect systematics, with a primary emphasis on beetle taxonomy—particularly lady beetles, weevils, wood-boring beetles, fruit-destroying beetles, and other obscure or understudied groups. I am especially interested in cataloguing the beetle diversity of southern Africa. Additional interests include zoological nomenclature, insect distributions, citizen science, alien and invasive insects, and scientific writing. Email: StalsR@arc.agric.za Tel: +27 12 808 8267 |

 | Dr Zolile Maseko
Position: Researcher Research focus: Entomologist working on the Sternorrhyncha group, which comprises four superfamilies: Aphidoidea (aphids), Coccoidea (scales and mealybugs), Psylloidea (psyllids), and Aleyrodidea (whiteflies), with several important agricultural pests that vector various phytopathogens. Current research projects include surveillance for invasive pests of solanaceous crops and citrus, such as the tomato-potato psyllid and the Asian citrus psyllid, as well as continuous monitoring of aphids on various crops. | Dr Genevieve Theron
Position: Researcher and curator of Diptera Research focus: The systematics and taxonomy of pollinating flies from the Afrotropical region, with a particular interest in the tangle-veined flies (Nemestrinidae) and spider flies (Acroceridae). I also work on surveying fruit flies (Tephritidae) and shoot flies (Atherigona) in South Africa. E-mail: TheronG@arc.agric.za Tel: +27 12 808 8285 |

| Dr Zwannda Nethavhani
Position: Researcher Research focus: Research focuses on moths of agricultural importance, including pests and edible species. The work combines classical and molecular taxonomy, biology and ecology to ensure accurate identification. Also support diagnostic services for farmers and researchers from different institutions, helping to improve pest management, promote sustainable use, and strengthen the ARC's Lepidoptera collection. | Dr Terry Reynolds
Position: Senior Research Technician Entomology Research focus: Collection Manager of the South African National Collection of Insects with a research focus on the systematics of parasitoid wasps in the Afrotropical region. These include a few subfamilies within Ichneumonidae. Darwin wasps (Ichneumonidae) is a highly diverse, but understudied group within the Afrotropical region. Her keen interest lies in expanding our knowledge of these beneficial arthropods through species identification and highlighting their biodiversity's crucial role in food web dynamics.
