Training and Extension services are a focal point of ARC efforts in technology transfer. These activities have enabled the organization to impart knowledge and information to a wide spectrum of users of agricultural research and development (R&D) output. It is one of the interventions executed by the ARC in its quest to effectively transfer its technology and knowledge, is a catalyst for change in the hands of those seeking change for themselves.
The ARC is accredited by the Agriculture Sector Education and Training Authority (AgriSETA) as an education and training provider in the agricultural sector. We therefore develop and offer a wide range of accredited and non-accredited courses which will help you to develop the capacities, competencies and qualities required in modern agricultural sector. | |
COURSE DEVELOPMENT The ARC offers more than a 100 Short learning programmes and skills programme from NQF level 1 up to 4, ranging in duration from 1 day to 3 months. Design of programmes include theoretical and practical components and experiential learning where applicable.
COURSE DELIVERY Presentation methods and instruments are to be in line with the audience needs and follow guidelines for facilitation of adult learning, which are learner-centred, interactive, participatory, experiential and utilization-focused. They also promote two-way communication, incorporate group work and any other participatory learning techniques as appropriate for optimal learning.
